So You Think You Can Dance ...

... well I know I can't but I do appreciate watching others that can.

Last Tuesday night Chelsea, Karina, Shaylie and I had a girls night at the So You Think You Can Dance Australian tour concert. It was great. The guys, well let me just say, mmmmmmmm. Why is it that they always have to dance with the shirt either undone or off. Fine by me.

My Week Off Work ...

As the kids are on school holidays, I took some time off work. I had planned a lot of fun activities to do with them - cooking, playing in the park, movies, shopping, etc.

In typical fashion, nothing really eventuated as I. GOT. SICK! I think I caught what Chelsea and Aiden had the previous week ... just didn't have the vomitting thing. Oh how I wish I could've though. I also had a cold.

We did manage to see a movie - Kung Fu Panda and I soldiered on and took them to the shops where they saw a baby animal nursery. There were baby goats, a piglet, ducklings, chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits. The kids loved petting them. I ended up bribing them with a milkshake in order to leave.

I hope they had a great week despite my sickness.

The Kids ...

This is an old picture of the kids from when Campbell was 10 weeks old. I just love it. Aren't they just so cute.

Fine Tuning the Skills

Do we have a future mechanic ...

or ...

a landscape gardener on our hands?

How Much Vomit Can Two Kids Produce ... HEAPS!

It (the vomit) started with Aiden.

On Wednesday morning he was complaining of having a sore tummy. I told him to go and use the bathroom and the next thing I heard was him vomitting. Oh well, a day off work for me (what a shame).

He vomitted again about 1 1/2 hours later and then was fine all day until about 3pm. Yep, vomitted again. That was it until 10.30 pm Thursday night. Up it came - all over his bedroom floor, the lounge room floor, himself and me (thanks Aiden). Luckily we have floor boards and it was relatively easy to clean up, just gross.

Well, Chelsea didn't want to miss out. So she decided to carry on with the vomitting on Friday night. She managed to get to the bathroom for the first session and then ventured to her bedroom. Had she finished vomitting - NO. It went all over her bed, the floor and the wall. Great. Her entire bed had to be stripped and washed, even the pillows. She did a good job. No, actually she did a FANTASTIC job.

The attitudes are back so I figure they are well.

Campbell seemed to escape the sickness - thank goodness!

The Sound of Crying

Don't you love it when your youngest is screaming and jumping up and down because he wants to go back IN the bath.

Obviously hasn't had a daytime nap!

A Conversation with Chelsea

This is a conversation I just had with Chelsea.

Chelsea: Mum have you been to America before?
Me: Yes I have.
Chelsea: Do they have McDonalds there?
Me: Yes they do. (A look of excitement comes over her face)
Chelsea: Does it taste the same?
Me: Somethings taste a little different.
Chelsea: Do the nuggets taste the same?
Me: I don't know, I didn't try them.

Oh how simple life is when you are nearly an 8 year old.

Migraine, Migraine Go Away, Come Again ... NEVER

I started to get a migraine at work yesterday. It was still there when I woke this morning. I tried to soldier on and went to work. I lasted an hour and a half. I was trying so hard not to vomit and even harder not to cry (sook I know, but migraines hurt).

I came home, put my pj's back on, turned on the electric blanket and crawled into bed and pretty much slept the day away.

I am feeling a little better but still have a groggy and foggy head. We'll see how I feel in the morning.

Party Time Fun ... the "Girls" and the "Boys"

Last Sunday evening we all gathered at my sister's house for pizza to celebrate her sons 8th birthday. Here are a few shots of the the "girls" - Chelsea, Shaylie and Saskia and the "boys" - Isaac, Kallan and Aiden.

It is quite hard to get a normal shot of Campbell. He always wants to pull a silly face or pretend to be an animal.

My "Bearded" Children

It is not often that we let the kids all bath together as when they do, there tends to be more water on the floor than in the bath. It is either out of laziness or a late night that they bath together.

When the kids are left to themselves, this is what they get up to.
